gary.l 61
Anybody else seen one this size before ? I bought a Jill recently off a fella in south Co. Kilkenny(maybe someone here knows him) but I spotted 2 big hobs in another cage and I commented on they're size, "ya think they're big" he said "they're only 6 months old come out here and I'll show you big ferrets" he took me around a corner to where he had another hutch with 5 of the biggest hob ferrets I ever saw, size wise they were like cats, I was holding one of them across the shoulders and I was under pressure to hold him because of his girth I couldn't get a good grip. Papa g 14
I had a Polecat hob that I had to hold with two hands some 30 odd years ago,he was too big for working he always got tangled up in the nets, constantly lay up (big problem for us as we were always poaching) in the end a mate had him & he escaped from his hutch & killed his next door neighbours prize winning lop eared rabbits (the proud owner was a copper!) then it killed my mates dads cockerel that he was fatting up for Christmas, but to top it all it killed some old granny's Persian cat, it's killing spree was mentioned in the local paper asking for the owner to come collect it from the local vets! Needless to say we kept a low profile! Quote Link to post
patterdalejoel 669
my mates shot on and it was about as long as from the tip of your finger to your elbow it was huge Quote Link to post
