robwelsh 354
If I were you I'd buy a hw100 or huntsman, an a 300bar 7ltr dive bottle if the gun has to be new. Or you could buy a rapid but you would need to import from USA Quote Link to post
one-in-the-net 24
Why would you recommend them out of everything ?thanks Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
Hi Another one for HW 100KTor KS . Comes with 2 mags , silencer and the best cocking system out of all the PCP . The new R10 are a lot better now with the newer reg in it,so that one could be a contender . Daystate huntsman are a very good gun as well, its not regulated like the other two but it works superbly. The best thing to do is go a try them your self Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
Iv owned a huntsman an was really good. Iv shot a few of my mates hw, an they too are really good. I currently own a rapid ,an can never see me getting rid. Iv shot a mate's r10mk2 an wasn't impressed, untill he spent 200 quid odd on it..then it was a good reliable gun. I know a boy who also owned two r10s , both shite ie, leak after leak, jamming etc .. an I know another lad who owned r10 an didn like it, now has a hw100 an he is in love lol I know another boy with yet another r10 an that to was fooked...but saying that I have a Bsa ultra se, an it ain't fooked up yet...but iv had mine from New, an how I treat my guns might be different from someone else...my advice is buy r10 s.h an get jb to do his work, diff gun afterwards Quote Link to post
clubshot 22
Check out your local Air Gun Club and see what others are using and Why Get many new Shooters @ my club - coming to see what others are using Many look great in a Shop or a magazine But not once you have purchased them and try to use them Admit that the current HW100 takes a lot of Beating And is one of the most used precharged Air rifles on my club Ranges @ Lea Valley - Hertford BOB/R Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
Just thought i would Put my two pence in, don't out pace air arms mate and remember if you went for something like a 410 you would have enough money left over for a nice set up, if u want camo that would mean ur interested in hunting I guess?, hides clothes, attachments for rifle, my s200 was only 360, ontop of that dive bottle bipod moderator camo clothes pop up hide , I'd hate to think how much I ave spent now, Quote Link to post
mjr88 50
I also had to recently make a choice between spending a load of my hard earned cash, i narrowed it down to an Air Arms s410 and a HW100. Once in the shop, and trying out a couple of rifles, i opted for a new HW100S in .177 calibre. The gun came with 2, 14 shot magazines. These are virtually indestructable, Some say the best in the business. I must say, after fireing off a few shots in the field last week when zeroing, i know that i made the right choice. The side cocking mechanism is second to none, and the build quality is unbelievable. And as far as accuracy is concerned, even a mug like me was putting pellet after pellet in the bull. Some say that the 100 series of rifles are ugly, well that's a matter of opinion, but for me, it was the only real choice. I havn't had a chance to take any photo's yet, but i found this one on the net, and that looks pretty close to mine John Quote Link to post

But i would seriously have a few shots with a HW100 before you make your final decision mate. You are going to spend a lot of money, and believe me. The 100 is in a different class Quote Link to post
Halfinch 51
Well you asked for advice, people Gave you their opinions, if you don't want to listen, it's up to you, the R10 Mk2 is a very nice gun, IMHO not as good as the HW100, but it is horses for courses I hope you enjoy your R10. robwelsh 354
Hey mate, you asked opinions, I have mine. An i gave it. Their really good guns if they been tuned, an the odd good one here an there...look up reviews of people with them. Mk2s ain void of leaks an jammin either. Like I said, could just be how people treat theirs..but my mates was two months old before he sent it to jb for full tune, because out of the two months, he probably had it no more than a week.. one-in-the-net 24
It seems everyone who has a hw100 say there better but everyone who has the r10 say there better The r10 will suite me more with the number of shots and with it been my type of gun I had a super ten a few years back then moved on to a daystate x2 but jus fancy a r10 vc camo so I'm gunna stick to what I said I think thanks anyway Quote Link to post

IMHO the HW kt is far better than the R10 any day,in fact i think i prefer my BSA ultra regged m/s to the R10 Quote Link to post
