lapin2008 1,587
For Chicken carcases whole or minced carcases i use Milford Farm on old A1 near Fairburn 01977 682272 contact to check price and availability. Jay animal feed at Askern does minced tripe 26p lb,chicken 26p lb,minced beef lung 26p lb and beef 30p lb also she does lamb breast bones rib cages 07767358073 014505862554.Prices may not be current. I get hearts and tripe from Traves Abbotior at Escrick 01904 728246 contact to check price. Good post mate, thanks for that! I suspect the prices you have put will be out of date as the prices on tripe have gone up silly amounts in the past year (i think due to a change in the way it is processed) I will definitely give them a bell today. I get my tripe from E Halls Tripe factory in Sunderland but the price has gone up from 25p lb to 40p in the past year! I called each of these suppliers just now for prices and got the following.. Milford farm do chicken carcass and chicken mince at 50p per kilo for carcass and 55p per kilo for mince. Now I am not the best at maths but I think that translates as carcass for 22p per lb and mince for 25 lb, which is pretty good Jays animal feeds have all the things you mentioned in your post but all are 40 per lb, Which is pretty standard everywhere. Traves abetoir basically didnt give me a price but said they shift what they have so very rarely have anything spare. Edited February 13, 2013 by lapin2008

Minimum £30 order for a delivery though. Also can be a bit liberal with their delivery times and often say they will drop stuff off one day and it doesnt turn up till the day after

I prefer now to get stuff from places I can just show up to and pick it up myself. I have been using DAF in Durham and E Halls tripe factory as you can just tip up when is convenient and pick a load up
