Ideation 8,216
larger population of hawks etc maybe ? I'd say i'd agree in one area, but i go all over mate and its the same story everywhere, it can only be the wet, shitty summer. the only spots that seem to be a bit better is the high ground. There was also very little natural food this year, in comparisson to other years. I have noticed that most of what ive caught this year was not born this summer, but were older rabbits, and thats over a number of countys in england and wales, covering probably a 300 mile area from southern to northern tip. We ferreted a spot on a shoot last week now the edge of the wood was planted with conifers the crappy horrible ones evergreen : ) , now these conifers are sone years old under there is like a micro climate dry as a bone all year round and a good degree or two warmer we ferreted it late last spring cleared it twenty rabbits it runs along crop fields which are lamper before summer , had 15 rabbitssome if which were born at all different tines of the year , so yes climate , big factor, long wet and cold spring massive factor, rhd well it's on the march up the country moves skit slower than mixie. I'm off to a permission before the end of the month that was hit badly rhd VHd two years ago will be interesting to see , but then , I can't say for sure it don't get poached from time to time : ( Quote Link to post
