JohnGalway 1,043
yeah I suppose john, sad the sport attracts the likes of those mindless morons.be interesting if they could track them down though, hardly possible i expect. They're the same type who won't get out of the car/van/jeep and walk a place. I doubt any effort would be put into tracking them down, I can't see it being worth while as how do you prove it without recovering a bullet and checking rifles, not gonna happen. Rat face 1,655
its same around here people just kill for killing sake no respect for animals they hunt. leaving digs open with the quarry in the bottom of the hole. then we wonder why the public is against us? the problem is there are far to many idiots in this sport but even more so in the terrier an lurcher game, i can only see it getting worse for the true hunting lads

jigsaw 11,866
lab their tails are all taken, which points me in the direction of a gun club cull, the most, tails at the end of season, the chance of 1st prize and the reputation that goes with it.defo hunting folk unfortunately on this one............but id love to be wrong.its a known pastime amongst gun clubs,a competition for the members and an incentive to shoot as many foxes as possible.Of course not all clubs rn this but i know lads that had bag loads of tails saved up for just this reason. But if they only need tails why bring the whole 20 foxes and dump them somewhere like that would they not of just left them where they fell and took the tails it doesnt make sense to me i reckon antis took them out of a few different places and dumped them all together for a public outcry that would make more sense

You may be right mate...you'd know better than me over your neck of the woods but it does still seem strange. 2 reasons.......1 if it was a gun club and it was only tails they were after then there would be no reason to keep the whole fox and 2..It says the 'fur' was removed and not the actual tail which leads me to believe that either they had a touch of mange or they had been lying around for a few days and when they have been picked up(by the antis) the fur fell off the tails?......Just guessing though bud....
seang 163
If it were gun clubs they should name and shame involved at least find the truth and get who's behind it anyone that never gave a second thought about hunting sees that you can guess how they think now

I know people who've claimed to have shot 10+, gathered them up for a photo, then f****d them in over a gate and left them to rot in the gateway. Bragging rights count for a lot with some people. In a lot of GC's it's only a tiny number of people who'll do any vermin control, particularly unsociable types like lamping. So it's most likely two - four people. I can't see the point of a freezer being emptied and bodies dumped, not saying it's impossible, it just seems like a remarkably dumb thing to do. Regarding the "fur", I would think it's a journalistic mistake, that the tails have been stripped off the bone, so a person unfamiliar with it would say the fur was taken and not the tail. jigsaw 11,866
now as I said I could be way off the mark and it may be antis, just the fact the tails are gone made me think of that.I think almost all gun clubs would never engage in that behavour anyway, but I know some members have done in the past.
