Glassartist 46
This is an optical block I was commissioned to hand engrave with a portrait of a customers dog named Dylan. The dog is engraved into the back of the block to give a more sculpural effect ,so obviously I had to engrave it in mirror image and at different depths . All of the engraving is carried out freehand using a dental drill and diamond burrs, also some stone burrs and polishers for the darker areas.

Glassartist 46
what do you charge for sumat like that pal ? Hi, just depends on the piece of crystal and also on how the engraving is done -this one is engraved into the back of the piece which is alot more work -cost of this was £250 ,but a dog's head on a whisky tumbler would be £70 working from you photo
