It's the same over here in Texas , guys wanna kill everything to just kill it an not enjoy nature , some times I will pass on shooting stuff or turning dogs out just to watch whatever it is hog , deer coyote

i will watch a fox play and enjoy seeing it! all i am saying working foxes below ground then realising them i personally wouldn't do. its a bit different to just watching them play in a field. but some old boys get a bit soft by the looks of it and cant finish the job they started!!
I Will fish through the summer months, And throw more back than what i take home. Or would I be more of a fisher man if I killed the lot just because i caught them. :hmm:

Yer lets compare a fox to a fish

HOW SILLY OF ME, A FOX IS A LIVEING THING, AND A FISH IS RUBBER :duh:

Didn't say fish where not living but comparing fishing to terrier work is the kind of thing I would expect to hear coming out an antis mouth!! Just saying respecting your quarry is not in my eyes chucking a terrier down its hole for your own entertainment!! I enjoy digging but also understand why it needs to be done not just protecting sheep chickens and pheasants. foxes play a very big part in the decline of many on our native species! The foxes population in the uk is at its highest ever and with the rabbit population going down more of our more endangered species are getting hit. you think that you and your terries are that good you could clear all the foxes in the uk. It's time to wake the f**k up old man. So as I said at the beginning digging foxes and releasing is not respectful or clever it is un sporting and just daft old boys thinking they know better. I have worked with conservationist and game keepers how know more about the land that you ever will and they would tell you to sell you dogs and start bird watching. It really does make me laugh how you can say respecting your quarry. Any way again up to you but I know I am right.

wish i had you vast knowlege and experience and wisdom , oh and by the way carnt use them little dogs to throw down a hole for any thing else but in the protection of gamebirds but am sure your gamekeepers and consevation experts know that ;)

you read so much shite on here from a lot of clowns, with so little respect for the quary they choose to hunt, and would be happy to kill what ever comes across they path, I was brought up to respect

The respect for quarries and seasons is something that is generally passed down from mentor to pupil .Seems to be a few young uns out and about who neither want or think they need tutoring .It is no g

What also must be worth remembering is the flip side of the coin....some lads hunt to see their dogs work and nothing else. Killing quarry is of little interest to them and they get great pleasure fro

never heard such shite for ages. you have to bear in mind that some area's have a low population . and some area's the fox is a usefull part of the countryside. different area's need a different aproach to the control of foxes. and sometimes in some area's they would be better left alone or at least left to breed in piece.

the folk that make me laugh are the ones that know they are right.:laugh: . right is often measured in degree's

Certain quarry earns more respect than another, even by the most respectful amongst us.A rat is looked on with disdain and is shown little mercy, breeding or not,its only a rat.The Hare brings out the best and worst of hunters, but is no lesser animal than its rodent cousin. As soon as we attempt to put human emotions on what is a basic primeval instinct, hunting, then we start to lose sense of what was once an activity that you relied on to survive,or starve and one now we see as a part of our leisure activity, before we nip off to McDonalds. With every generation the respect for the hunt, chase and kill is lost a little more, even our early ancestors with their primitive and lesser mental aptitude, respected their quarry and even worshipped it,as seen by the numerous cave paintings etc.Youd think that now with our so called advanced mental ability we could embrace the concept of our ancestors and respect the hunt and quarry.

Sorry if I am getting pissed off! All I am saying is I just don't agree with digging to foxes and realising them.if they are causing no problem leave them be. In my eyes respecting your quarry when numbers are low means leaving them in peace. No offence meant to any one but surely you understand my point

the problem with you point is you state releasing charlie is unsporting but the act of releasing the red chap was the most sporting act of a terrier man pre ban of course, then you state rabbits are low in your area well snatch the coney is vermin as is vulpa or do rabbits hold a special place in your heart , dont kill for killings sake end a life when its warrented or the needbe , only the opinion of another old twat ;)

i am saying that with rabbits being low in some areas the foxes are eating other more vulnerable species. so maybe think twice before you realise them so you can hunt it again for your own pleasure!!!! is that what you call respecting stuff??.... do you ferret and realise your rabbits? do you catch squirrels in a trap then set them free???? how about the trusty rat you catch them and release them back into the country side? or do you use your terrier to scare f**k out of them dig down into the there home then let them go?????only my opinion....but if the fox dont need getting rid of leave it be .... that in my eyes is respecting your quarry.....so all i am trying to say but you dont understand is dont scare the f**k out a fox if its not needed. you are doing that for your own pleasure.....fox looses home dog could loose its life all for an old boys enjoyment....you think thats respecting your quarry well sorry old boy your definition of respect is a little off the mark.....
