Innoculations/imunizations

If that's the going rate in your area then that's that.

Remember your vet should also check your dog over when you attend, so the fee shouldn't just be for the jabs. Mine went this week for a booster and had a thermometer up his harris, heart checked, and weighed.

I'm happy that's been done as I know he's fit and healthy and nothing is up which isn't showing symptoms yet.

i'm not trying to be funny mate, but checking a dogs temperature and weight isnt exactly rocket science. possibly vets might pick up on something by listening to the heart, but without taking bloods, scans etc theres no way a vet can say your dog hasnt got any health problems. a basic health check like this is really something that knowledgeable experienced owners should be capable of doing themselves, at least most of it.

Does your vets or any in your area offer a 'health club?' Mine does, for a little over a tenner a month I get a monthly dose of advocate flea treatment, quarterly wormers, 2 health checks a year and his annual booster all for that price. Also get 15% off appointments and medicines. It saves some money if your vet or one near you does a similar service

So it costs you over £120 a year to get a booster, worm and flea treatment for one dog? That sounds a bit dear to me? Flea treatment and wormers for one dog would be cheaper off the internet companies.

I will only use advocate flea treatment, it's really good stuff. You're right, it is cheaper online but you need a prescription which costs money and will only let you order 6 months worth. It works out exactly the same. That £11 a month is for health check every 6 months as well and if he is sick or injured you get 15% off consultation and medicine.

TBH I think it's a good deal myself
