Baby Rabbits Already!!!

came across young rabbits a couple of weeks back and had a few with young in them the season is over for me

i think the season is over for me now too, counted 21 at a hedgerow and when i walked towards them, 3 came running towards me. it was nearly all young out playing

Bolted three, dug one.

Two in young, that's me finished till next Season.

same here got 6 today 2 were in young fishing now

My. Nets are. Hung up after my outing today dug down to the ferret and it was young so that's me done for the season maybe a lamping trip but no more ferreting

I packed up with the ferrets 2 years ago as the 'season' is far too short.

All our control is done with the rifles and lamps now.

A good method, but you don't get, the thump thump and the woosh as the rabbit hits the nets,

ye canny beat crawling through buckthorn, hands constantly being stung by nettles.

and a good three fit dig.

I use both the rifle and ferrets/dogs on the rabbits and I know which I prefer. The rifle takes second prize every time

its nowt new mate they will breed all year round we dont get the real hard winters like years ago bud , i was gutting them in september and there was young in em.
