lurchers 2,762
Me and the wife made a load of pickled beetroot yesterday so I can start turning the garden over again as I've got noting else to go back in.i might have a walk over the garden centre to see what they have as my seeds have done crap from the collies and parsnip this year.they normally do great from simply seeds but not this time. terryd 8,384
Picked enough beans to last us most the winter and loads more to come. More beetroot for pickling cabbage for dinner nice a clubroot free makes a hell of a difference and a bit of company for me. Every one stops to give him stroke he loves it soppy sod could do with some weeding but its too sodden at the moment Edited August 23, 2015 by terryd

MR TEA POT 1,287
Moved in to a new house so thought I'd have a go at growing some veg,the garden didn't have much space so decided to use a few pots and containers, the greenhouse was so that was a good thing,I brought two raised beds chucked some horse muck in and mixed it with top soil,a few digs over through winter and should be ready for planting next year. Any advice would be good as I'm a growing novice ?
