darbo 4,774
went tonight didnt notice a hole in the side of the netting. pigeons must have got in and ruined all the sprout plants . start again with that one. That is a pain darbo I didnt think they would be that keen to enter a netted section for fear of getting trapped. But seen few flapping about stuck in other peoples netting. If I catch any in mine they will be introduced to mr short crust there has been a few over the years under peoples netting and they met mr. frying pan.

Bosun11 537
Them onions look healthy too bet they are going to taste good. Fed up of shop bought ones that don't keep very well That Hugh Fernley Whittingfella has some good onion recipes. One using roast onions I tried was spot on, you can google it. With my homegrown onions I simply put 'em in a bowl with a drop of water to sit in, cover with cling film an micro bash for 6/7 mins. Slap the (now) soft onion on a good crusty cob with loads of butter & pepper, sit back an have one of the nicest lunches you can have...!

TWOTWOTHREE 152
Hi They were netted up till the other day.there is the odd caterpillar damaged cabbage.but lady bug cleared them off.pigeon are the biggest pest but the rifle sees them off most days.it is a big plot but doesn't take much looking after just little and often.20 years ago there was only one but as folk have left over the years they weren't re let so we took them over bit by bit and eventually combined the lot. My 4 and martins 4 together.its a great place to chill out.kids love it with the poultry and scoffing all the peas n fruit.
