I have been struggling as well first lot of very early variety didn't show at all so raked it over and resowed just a few patches came up so sowed in-between got a few more. I keep doing this and now almost a couple of rows but they not moving like they should there slow. I'm thinking all that rain we had over winter has made paths down through the soil as the ground just doesn't seem to hold the water like it should and dries out quickly this year. I've now started to just spray the carrots and seed with a little water every night if dry I think the seed is drying out before it has chance to germinate and form properly.
