So, Tell Us, What Are Ye All At In The Veg Garden?

Recommended Posts

Got runner beans, half the courgettes and peas in,

And 4 eggs off my fecking slack hens,I nearly fainted.

Just got shot of mine, had a load next door complained, whittled it down to four hens, one hen took on the role of cock bird and wouldn't shut the f**k up, gone, soon as she went another one started up being proper noisy, neighbours complained again and i couldn't be arsed with the chew so off they went

moved mine to allotment.

223, i'm envious mate, spot on with you fair play, not a weed in sight and lovely soil..........in a few years with regular turning and work, hopefully my soil will end up similar tilth. I have a target set by your lovely garden............ time to put some hard work in. I see you use sticks for your peas, i tried this year the big bale wrap ( the netting off the straw bales), once its all done and died back, just rip the lot up and burn it. i sound like a tramp now lol

Cheers bootsha, the netting sounds like a plan I may even be a copy cat and try it lol.im all for simplicity and easy pickings.i love the gardening and its all about not letting it get the better of you.as much as I like a holiday I hate coming back to the weeds.my mate is going to chiuck the tiller through it a few times and ill do the same when he's away.its addictive as you may well know.i often get a bollocking from the mrs when I pop down for ten mins and don't re surface for 5 hours, theres always something to do,

If you have young leek plants they can go in now. early season leeks harvest aug-nov. mid season harvest nov-jan. late season harvest dec through to spring.
