Looking good Terry, there is something about picking your own that is at the heart of all gardening. The broad beans look like the could be Aquadulce?

Cheers Allan I normally grow Aquadulce but found them a bit bitter some times even when quite young. These are some thing different from the garden centre so I will pop in ask them as they have a really nice flavour even the daughters said they were nice

turns out they are witkiem

A fast-growing, quick-maturing broad bean, producing a good harvest of short, well-filled pods. The beans have a high tannin content, giving them particularly good taste. For spring sowing.

  • The earliest maturing spring sown broad bean
  • Heavy yields of short pods
  • Beans have a high tannin content which gives a good flavour

Not yet ,first time I planted tbh, I read you can use the small leaves in salads an the seeds dried,I read they add dried seeds to pickled cabbage ,which is what I thought if doing .but I haven't had any luck with sunflowers this year,so glad this has grown, something to talk about lol

Just waiting for it to stop raining so can mow the grass.
