Had an hour on the plots today dug first spuds ( not the best but sure they be tasty, pulled a few beets to culled a cross bread pigeon from my loft , while we was there I swapped some eggs for a turn

I think my spuds are going well? Got some corn, some peas and beans going too, all new to this so no idea if they're growing well or not lol

Seem to have lost a fair few spuds to the blight. Hard to see as well unless you give them a good squeeze.

but not to worry plenty are ok and will be on the ball more next year. I remember checking them and thinking I need to get the haulms off but was pushed for time so left it until the weekend which was too late.

I got first place with my cabbage! Ha could not believe it £5 prize money! And had loads of old boys asking how I grow it and what I fed it , I sed I just planted it and left it , I think the 4 year old duck muck was the key !

Ah. The very man. At what point in time do you know the corn is ready? I unpeeled one yesterday and although it was fully formed I was unsure. Jok.

When the silks turn brown they should be about there Jok .
