Few pics of some bits.  

Picked what I could salvage of the green toms for some chutney better than wasting them tonight.     Not impressed with me cabbage     few bits for dinner. Bean are delicious at the mo

I think my spuds are going well? Got some corn, some peas and beans going too, all new to this so no idea if they're growing well or not lol

That is one nice cabbage. You can keep the chilli, not for me. Watch the wasps with the figs as soon as they ripen they will be on them.

Cheers tiercel chillis are not for me either its the first time the figs have come on thanks for the tip re wasps. :thumbs:

Terry, those onions are not that bad had worse myself. Tip. Use ethe ones with the thicker necks first.

 

Add this to your list, Do NOT grow onions from sets. Grow them from seeds and never plant them out before May the 6th. Even heat treated sets bolt and because they are grown in the same ground year in year out they are very susceptible to white rot. The best onions I have grown were Balstora cracking yield thin necks and keep very well. I read the other day that Medwyns are doing a F1 hybred with Balstora and Ailsa Craig and by all accounts it is a cracker.

I will try and get a photo up this week of "my" :laugh: fig tree. In the carpark of our local farm foods.

Nothing better terry collect a few eggs get them cooked up a few rounds of bread a mug of tea bliss. :laugh:

These are the ones I grew. TBH I could not fault them.

Here is a RHS trials report on them 96% of the balstora stored by them were sound in Febuary of the next year. And a good yeild with them.

My sweet corn has bolted lack of water I guess my fault. No shortage of other veg to eat though :thumbs:
