So, Tell Us, What Are Ye All At In The Veg Garden?

Recommended Posts

If the inside is lined with the thick plastic stuff that's used as damp proof under a concrete base then why can't the sleepers be used ??? ........

The sleepers are on soil so I wouldn't take the risk as knowing my luck I would end up poisoning myself lol

I asked some old lads on the plot who really do grow some impressive stuff and leave on was the answer by all of them.

In theory I can't see why not but if you put even a small hole in the membrane while turning the ground over you run then risk off serious health issues later in life. I suppose with my kids being so young and wanting them to take part I'm a bit over protective. I used the chestnut sleepers on a job once they looked good with no nasty side affects.
