Mind you with that cabbage my mate gave me took 10 hours to get home with the drag it gave me You could take one up the road then have two the space soon goes. You could all ways give up the furthest one then if you felt like it Edited August 12, 2013 by terryd

And the rats have been at the spuds! Apart from that the rest are Doing ok. I've just been up to look at the other allotments up the road and there's plenty of spare allotments up there it's brand new plots set on the old primary school field. Nice haul you have there terry I would bite someones hand off for a new plot where no one had grown veg before. No white rot for the onions, no club root for the brassicas, no scab for the potatoes. A clean sheet just get a good rotation going and you will be fine. Grab one while you can. One chap on the allotment always had good brassicas, while the rest of us had clubroot. While talking to him one day I asked about how he was able to grow good cabbage cauli swedes etc; and the rest of us struggled with the clubroot that was in the soil of all the plots on the allotment . He told me that he was given a tip by a RHS gardener. Add a bit of washing up liquid to the hole that you are planting in. Apparently the spores that cause club root absorb the fairy and it litererly makes them swell and explode It worked for me the next year. terryd 8,401
Onions look so appetising laying like that. People down the allotments have them laying around drying out looks great. I like that green house too nice old wooden frame. Is that broccoli hiding in the bottom corner ?
