darbo 4,774
We have had rabbits on the plot cant really recall them touching the beetroot hammer everything else apart from onions. look for droppings? had slug/snail damage to leaves. i have read you can get damage from mice also sparrows will eat the leaves but have not experienced it. I was thinking it would ,Be easier ? for weeding and so kids won't trample it. Seen pics on internet off raised beds with chicken pen on,looks good idea, move chickens on,dig manure in,rest it then plant it.

terryd 8,401
Sorry folks few more pictures from down the allotment today Daughter has her own little corner bless her seems to have 200 carrots in a foot Sticked the peas they could do with more head room under the netting but we will improve design next year made an odd frame for me runners and more traditinal one purple sprouting seedlings are looking happy few random pics Big fan of hazel got lots uses. Starting to recall stuff my granddad taught me as a kid. I remember him getting me to made sheds for the goats out of weaving hazel for the walls then using bundled green braken for the roof which actually was very weather proof. He also had me scything the field for hay and dragging it back to shed on a tarpaulin and stuff in the roof on a hazel frame. Wasn't such a fan of that
