just jack 998
That's it sow again,do U suffer much with carrot fly? jack, the other year my mates were hammered,we found best way to stop them is to,ridge up like a tater row, obviously when orange of the carrots starts to show, just leaving the green above soil, never had them since, not really sure to be honest 223 as its our first season and not ask the question, good idea and i'll ask but i have read that you can put some onions in with the carrots to deter the fly maybe i'll try both

TWOTWOTHREE 152
Get them in boot parsnips seem to take a while to germinate more than most seeds,I find so anyway, the weather has been sweltering my way today, got a dab on while out pigeon shooting, the tunnels are like a sauna,I set parsnips in toilet roll cardboard tubes, fill them with compost sow the seed and when the seedling is a inch or two high pop the roll and all in a hole made in the ground with the top of the roll 1/4 of an inch poking out soil then water in,the card degrades well before they are ready, just a tip, works a treat and there's no messing about trying to seperate and transplant many times, also no trying to sort the weed from the plant, http://i.imgur.com/8dnkIP5.jpg Atb
