B.P.R 2,798
A lure is a great bit of kit to own..... Leave it in the garage all winter....and then get it out few times a month in the good weather.... Theyre great fun and a good way if exercising the dogs..... Yes, theyre no substitute for the real thing..... It brought my whippet on a treat after injury....i could pick her runs, speed and distance..... Me and rm2508 get out a few weekends a month in the summer and have a bit of fun.....turns....races....timing....etc.... Graham is a top bloke to deal with....and his lures are good quality...... Hes by far the cheapest on the market.....Unless you build your own ofcourse.... In short.... Theyre good to have....and make a walk out....a fitness sessions for the dogs.... But the real thing cant be simulated Edited February 6, 2013 by Blue Pocket Rocket Quote Link to post

If there are no rabbits about, the price of a lure machine would be better put towards, diesel, bus fares or walking boots, travel to were the game is,not to were it isn.t. Quote Link to post

RossM 8,119
My dogs don't put 100% into a lure run as to a real run "but" as said it's a good bit fun in the summer months and helps keep the dogs on there toes and fitness up, Quote Link to post

hunting1234 122
you would be better letting your dog chase the real thing there's no substitute and at the end of the day What can a lure machine learn a running dog,it already knows and wants to run,a flappy rag is ok for the people to lazy to exercise their mutts and the more sensitive that want a dog that chases but are loathe to see it chase and kill, the summer shows are full of them.Get the dog on a lead and put the yardage in,then when its old enough get it behind some fur. What like road walking, lazy balmy days at the side of a river, enjoying the countryside for what it is without the need to kill for a few months, watching the youngsters that will better test a dog at the year end etc. etc.Ive had the pleasure, with a few like minded souls on a summer evening of a few runs on a lure,a few beer bets,a bit of rib taking and the company of lurcher owners, all good fun and at times rewarding, but,a lazy walk and swim with the jukels as the only company, takes some bettering. And i totally agree with you there..... But im not talking about himping the lure to a field....fling the dogs down the line and bugger off home..... Im talking about a few runs on the lure....with mates.....on a decent day...... then off for a decent walk and a blether.... A lure is a good addition.....as in its good to have it at your disposal....for whenever you may want to use it...... Mines sat in the garage....wont be used until the summer....but i cant use it if i dont have one..... I enjoy walk outs...bike rides....mooches with mates..... Great laugh when the suns shining..... 2 Quote Link to post

GO back and read my first post on this thread.. I don't need any one to buy a lure off me,from this site, If they want one i will sell them one..because THEY WANT ONE.... I have a standing order/contract each month, for a nice wage going to the EU..and i make more per machine off that than i do selling to lads off her or who come from my website.. ... and as for taken brass out of lads pockets, i could charge £40 more and still be cheaper than the rest of them out their..well not the man who sell's his returned machines. as second hand ones.....Its like the other day some lady i had emailing me wanting a lure to train her gundog, not to chance..but i told her about one of them sprung rabbit trainer things for -£30-50 form most gun shops ..so i'm really out to take brass out of peoples pockets aren't i!!!! ps give the wife a slap..tell her your not shagging no fatty.... and belt the grandson fir supporting them wank bags..lol Quote Link to post
