graham4877 1,181
I'm not just saying this because i make them for a liven,,full time..I'm not even bothered if you buy one from me, as i'm full with orders ever week... Hope that don't as if i'm being funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But they are one of the best tools to have in your training kit.. I start my pups off on them and it makes a better dog,, I took my older bitch out a few times before she'd been on lure, then took her out on the lure and what total different dog she was the next night i took her out on the lamp, This year i'd be lucky to see 20 rabbits of a night, it that bad round her this year, so my lure has come in very handy for both my pups! I'l post a few videos...... of the dogs on lure.. Tthe lure you may see in the videos are not for sale,, it is the mini lure in videos.. they will be for sale one day but they need redesigned,,as they take far to long to make!! This is my older pup..well she's 19 month now, she's a Saluki/greycbullxgrey And my saluki x ..she's 16 month now and both of them running it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yb0RcmrE4aA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXYpVEVVhqQ anyway i'm in the NE16 area, so you're more than welcome to have a look up and have a run on the lure with your pup.. Sunday mornings are no good at they will be playing football... I cam do weekdays if that better?? inbox me ALB graham Quote Link to post

graham4877 1,181
I No what you mean mate. it is something i am thinking about.. few options 1-- get someone else to slip dogs.. which is no good 2-- is make the wire on the switch 152m long..bit risky as how do you know when to stop, but could always peg a car mat down so it hide lure end.. under or muzzle dog... 3--- a remote control with some sort of switching gear mounted to a servo.. 4--- when i make a bigger spool. (on doing this, this week. could hold anywhere from 300-500m maybe more ) and use one turn like i used to with my last bitch RIP TESS Quote Link to post
ledgard01 47
How much do they roughly cost if u dnt mind me askin?? Quote Link to post
Guest long-tail
was just thinking how to use it on my own for any straight running but i guess makes no odds putting round a pulley and back to the lure i suppose looks good bit kit, what the best price you do on them just out of interest cheers Quote Link to post
graham4877 1,181
How much do they roughly cost if u dnt mind me askin?? Of course i don't mind you asking mate.. £158 to your door, and the turns/pulleys are £9.50 each or £9 each with free P&P when you buy a machine! The price might be going up to £160 if i can't get a new supplier of solenoids..who will do a deal on bulkbuying ...as they guy i normally get them of has wnt tits up i think.. tried for over a month of emailing him and ringing his shop with out any joy from him" Quote Link to post

morton 5,368
you would be better letting your dog chase the real thing there's no substitute and at the end of the day What can a lure machine learn a running dog,it already knows and wants to run,a flappy rag is ok for the people to lazy to exercise their mutts and the more sensitive that want a dog that chases but are loathe to see it chase and kill, the summer shows are full of them.Get the dog on a lead and put the yardage in,then when its old enough get it behind some fur. 1 Quote Link to post
