Malt 379
To be honest i didnt think it would be him , wonder what leads they had to track him down I think it's a hell of an achievement and also hugely lucky that the grave wasn't built over. walshie 2,804
Not being a naysayer, but how sure can they possibly be this is him? I'm sure a lot of our DNA would be shared with someone from 500 years ago. One hunchback does not a king make.
LaraCroft 863
Apparently they used DNA from a London living, Canadian born distant relative. How they can possibly say for sure though, seems odd. I bet Jeremy Kyle can't top that one.

They used a combination of DNA, radiocarbon dating, bone age analysis and first hand historical documents of his life and death on the battlefield to come to their conclusion.. They can probably never be 100% sure but the findings were close enough to put it beyond reasonable doubt that it was him.

Didn't watch the whole presentation, as I don't like to let facts get in the way of a good story.

Pretty amazing stuff they can prove today with carbon dating etc , part of me feels sad that he was seemingly just slung in there in the first place , but the part of me is interested in all this kind of stuff.. I am glad he is being reinterned I watch history cold case & they do this sort thing on there , but they re build the persons face so you get to see what they may have looked like, interesting stuff
