Stretch177 39
Anybody came across any young'uns yet. Was out Saturday and done a sett on new permission, it was at the bottom of a valley and in what was dense cover, anyway the dog marked the holes, netted up and shot the ferrets down. Got 2 out straight away and then nothing for a few minutes, until 3 baby rabbits bolted, probably around 4-6 weeks old, got another rabbit which was dispatched and then the ferrets were picked up and put away. Didn't fancy a dig or the ferret killing all the young as i think its unfair game tbh. Also one of the rabbits had a good 5/6 kits in her upon gutting, that were pretty much ready to drop. Now ive obviously come across this while ferreting, but never this early in the year. Anybody else come across them this season yet?? Quote Link to post
