bobcullen79 1,495
Shite. Ive not tried them but theres a few who have with poor results.. There was something on here about a GENUINE army trenching tool that looked much stronger. Edited to say, its a wooden handled german one with a pick, looks quite strong. Quote Link to post

Mochastorm 68
The small spades are lighter and more portable, but when the need to dig arises you are better with a full size spade, it's often worth carrying the extra few pounds. You're original enquiry about the folding spade, they're about as much use as tits on a bull. 1 Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
I bought this, just when out for a mooch, but it would never replace my Bulldog Rabbiting spade, its 35 years old, seen some graft, and never needed anything replaced. 1 Quote Link to post

B.P.R 2,798
Mate....the one you put up the link for on ebay is fukin crap....it will break the first time ye hit a stone.....ive had one..... The army spades are ok.....the proper folding ones..... But not designed for serious stick......a bit of light digging/ ferreting etc. The folding spades are good to chuck in your bag and forget....shoukd anything happen to yourain soade you have a spare there. Or for your mate to scrape out the waste on bigger digs.... Can beat a good spade like has already been said. Edited February 3, 2013 by Blue Pocket Rocket Quote Link to post
reddawn 2,173
buy right or buy twice, the bulldog rabbiting spades are okay, but they aint any good for big holes, better off way a roundmouth, the smaller mini yins are okay, but not as good as a normal sized un, depends on what ye need Quote Link to post
tomas 9
Iv got a small round mouth bull dog simular to the ones you get from screwfix Quote Link to post
