Can It Get Any Better?

This post persuaded me to have a look out of my window this morning, and at the veg patch was a big fat woody! I waited as it wasn't a safe shot, and it flew up into a tree, right behind two twigs crossing right infront of its head. So waited some more for it to bob it head from behind the twigs. Then using my old HW 35 and a little lead wasp, I took the head shot and down it tumbled. It landed about 30cm from the ferrets so they got a nice fresh warm breakfast! So thanks, I'm glad I read the thread :)

Nice one; I love Milton Keynes too. I spent the last two summers shooting (with camera) the diverse birdlife along the river Great Ouse.

Good shooting steve, what a good neighbor you have, and she aproached you. As si said we will be bunny bashing tonight with your super six, looking forward to it as ive not shot on that part of the farm yet and its a hive for rabbits.

as said above, nice to hear about an RSPB member with an open mind.

A couple of weeks have passed; the first opportunity I’ve had to sit by my bedroom window at the crack of dawn was rewarded. A crow perched at the top of my neighbour’s tree was humanely dispatched before I had the chance to make a brew.

I could get used to this, unfortunately the corvids are getting wise, and although there is an abundance of them around my neighbourhood, sightings within shooting distance are less frequent.

Regards, Steve
