Matt 160
Any trap you make would have to be submitted to FERA for evaluation before being added to the Spring Trap Approval Order. The Collarum is the only spring powered snare that you can legally use in the UK at the moment. Quote Link to post
Firefox 4
I am not douting your ability at being able to make one but have you looked at one closely at one there is a lot of work that goes in to one of them and as stated above they would need approval, so you would need ten of them made and sent to FREA for testing then you will have to wait until October to find out if it got a proved is it worth it if you only want one or two just my thoughts on it, but if you can make them and they are good and get them a proved there mite a market for them. randombadger 26
Just in case you're thinking of proceeding with this venture, I think you'll find that FERA don't test the traps for free and it isn't going to be cheap. In addition you need to read the collarum patent carefully (http://www.google.com/patents/US5956891) if you infringe any of the key claims in that you may find yourself being sued or pursued for royalties if the trap gets into anyone elses hands.
