How Not To Kennel Greyhounds.

Poor buggers stacked like supermarket goods.

Guess the muzzling is because of the agression that type of kenneling causes?

Would they not be more likely to turn their head in a race if they have so much pent up aggression?

i used to help a bloke who had racing kennels, and had 45-55 dogs at a time. They all had plenty of room in there living quaters, infact i had to go in clean them out and put fresh paper down every day, i am 6ft 13st and had plenty of space to move about in there. Iwas surprised that the dogs didnt kick off with each othere in the vid, to be honest, because we used walk 4 at a time after there dinners, and you had to very carful (which) 4 you talk out together. As muzzle or no muzzle , they would try to (kill) each other (if) any other dog came by the dogs they were with FACT. It happend i sunday when they were being walked, i took my 4 back to there quarters, when all Hell broke loose a young lad with his 4 and a woman with her 4 tried to kick off with each other, both the lad+ woman were struggling to keep the dogs apart, some of the muzzles had come off.I ran down with another bloke and we got the dogs apart.Greyhounds can make great pets , but if they ever get upset , they are Bloody dangerous dogs can do lot of damage very quick. bad way to keep greys i think in the vid

its hard to judge the life on a 5min clip but it looked clean and there was good grub.............................just hope each one gets the deserved time they deserve.........

Not all are like that. I work at a racing kennels and my boss trains 76 dogs all in brick kennels inside barns. Every Kennel is 4x4x4 and runs are 6x4 so imo a good size. Also every dog gets walked at least 2mile a day not a lot Aknow but enough for a greyhound and there all groomed daily and feed decent grub.

I used to walk greyhounds for a bloke when I was a kid for pocket money. But only two at a time.

I remember once getting dragged across a road as they tried to get at a miniature white poodle being walked by an old lady. They dragged me across the road right in front of a lorry. Nearly killed me. The only way I could stop them was to wrap their leads around a bus post. The lorry driver was that mad he turned his lorry round just to give me a bollocking.

He was a foreigner and I couldn't understand a word he said but I got the gist all right. lol

I was lucky on two counts. Getting missed by the lorry and managing to wrap their leads around the bus stop. They weren't wearing muzzles and would have killed the old lady's dog.

Lovely peaceful animals but feckin psychos when they kick off. Worse than bull crosses imho.

I understand what you lads are saying about the crates are only for sleeping in but I think that kind of kenneling would wind them up. I think a dog needs a dark private place to chill. Open to the world like they are is bad for their mental health imho.

christ your dogs must live in some accommodation, nothing wrong with that set up, best of grub ect, i've certainly seen alot worse than that.
