After many years away i have been attending a few shows this year and yes i would say about 60 percent of people who attend dont work them. But what do people class as work ,ratting to foxing is work just because some dogs contain very little scars dont mean they arnt worked.I came down to s wales this weekend and whatched brian judge and he picked what he liked alot of them were a good working type of terrier wether they worked or not we wont know.

if i go to a terrier lurcher show,i'm only going for a day out and the possiblity of meeting other

workers of dogs, they are not to be taken seriously, all that really matters is enjoying a day out with the dogs and watching them work to the best of their ability, all the best,

Higgins.

IVE JUDGED A FEW AND NOW AND THEN YOU GET ABIT OF STICK BUT AS I TELL THEM ITS ONLY ONE MANS OPINION ON THE DAY :clapper:

fell boy ratting is not work . In my personal opinion fox and badgers when it was legal were the only work for a terrier .

A ratting dog is sporting yes but it cannot be classed as work

there aint a good working terrier and lurcher show around anymore ,as there are to many rosette hunters around .the real workers are kept from shows as there are to many slimmy t**ts around that like spliting on the people who got tried and tested dogs and affraid the proper worked dogs may win .so i wouldnt say there is a point in them anymore hopefully 1 day they will return to worked dogs and owners that work them then they will be worth going to

happy hunting dig on
