gnipper 6,534
Piece of rock sulphur in the water bowl, job done. Try them on a different food too, my lurcher does it when he's been on cheapo brand dry foods due to all the shite they add to make it palatable imo.

hutch6 550
You are feeding a food that has preservatives in it that kill bacteria sdo the food doesn;t rot and yet these kill the bacteria in your dog's stomach that ot needs to break downa nd get the maximum it can from the raw stuff you feed. It's counter productive in a way. Try and feed boiled rice or mashed spuds if you want to bulk up the food but the pup should be fed only 5-10% of it's body weight per day in raw anyway.
Casso 1,261
the dog will ingest (orally or with olfactory receptors) substances with a prey full essence , bodily fluids , blood, saliva, prey crap like sheep shite cow horse all get ingested at some point when they evoke a charge in the canine,(which they grow out of when it not longer charges them up in time)in most dogs the charge is neutralised by olfactory receptors alone , which is why dogs investigated other dogs crap, sniff it then leave it at that, they are also attracted to fox shite but it doesn't have a prey full essence its more predator like but the dog will ground the charge evoked in the smell by rubbing in it , same as when some dogs enter a field of grass it gives the dog a charge of energy and the dog will rub his chest or shoulders in the grass to ground the feeling of energy, what im saying is its all the same principle , its attraction ,, Edited January 31, 2013 by Casso

Sirius 1,391
coprophagia or poo eating is a big subject to cover and I have found and heard of good results using lots of methods. Diet change is useful and i have heard of good results using the rock sulpher and also a mineral / vitamin supplement along with diet change. It really does depend on the case. It's often as much of a behavioural problem as it is physical/dietary one. I have dealt with a fair few cases when I was doing behavioural work with dogs. One of the main issues is that if its left too long it becomes habitual and then it's harder to break. Good luck Sirius
