Recommended Posts

some over charge, mine broke his toe,or dislocated it,the vet checked it,gave me spray, bandaged it,and took some anti inflamatorys......48 pound.not expensive.i also work for a vet sometimes and he showed me his new x ray machine ,I asked how much was it....150,ooo so its not just training you need its ,a building, insurance, staff, all the equipment, meds, etc etc,if you've invested 7yrs training then 500,000 to 1 mill on gettibg set up you aint gona charge 10pound an hour............if you don't like paying out for a dog get a porcelain one

i dont mind paying providing im getting value for money and a £40 markup to jab a dog is not value its something Dick Terpin would have been proud of

agreed,i dont like paying for jabs,i spose they make more on some jobs than others,id love to jab mine, but i need to kennel them if i go away so need the paper work.

you just know you gonna walk out the door with u pants down .

you can jab them yourself and fill in your own paperwork as long as you dont sell jabs to anyone else its all legal and above board

try £650 for 35 mins for a 2" cut just glad she was insured so yes their robbing gits

even out of hours it wouldn't have cost that much.

Few years ago i had to rush my bitch in to the out of hours, she came down with pyo

emergency spay left her with pancreitus, she spent the weekend in the emergency vets

on a drip, that came to just over 700.

last year my deerhound had to go in for stitches, cut was just over an inch

that cost me just over 200.

am a registered implanter for micro chipping and was shocked the vets charge between £20 and £30 for this, I normally only buy 10 at a time and they work out at £2.80 a chip but the do get cheaper the more you buy, and am pretty sure the vets will get even more discount than what registered implanters get.
