Elliott 436
Sold the HW100KT and need to get it delivered to South Wales, how do I go about it? Looks like a pain in the arse splitting the stock and action to be able to post it via RM and ensure it's insured. Are there any couriers out there that will deliver air rifles at a reasonable cost, it seems most are against posting guns? Thanks Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,589
Makes me wonder if there's a business for a lad with a white van who will deliver complete sporting arms and air rifles to/from anywhere? Well, the Royal Mail aren't interested are they! Quote Link to post
Elliott 436
Makes me wonder if there's a business for a lad with a white van who will deliver complete sporting arms and air rifles to/from anywhere? Well, the Royal Mail aren't interested are they! Certainly a gap in the market. RM will deliver airguns but if you'd like it insured for in excess of £46 it has to be under a certain size limit meaning, for rifles at least, the only way of doing it would be to send the stock and action separately Edited January 30, 2013 by Elliott Quote Link to post
Brian Clarke 0
Couldn't you just pack it in a box with bubble wrap, label it as fragile, and send via courier? There's no reason they need to know whats in the box is there? Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
My experiences in posting guns! Parcel farce twice to Belgium, went without a hitch. Royal Mail, special delivery, gun broken down, packed, posted, not a problem. Parcelmonkey (received 3 guns in one package), not a problem! Sent a 2240 by post in a Flambeau box, special delivery, not a problem! Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 792
I've posted a few rifles with parcel force now, split the action and stock and sent in the same package, and insured for up to £500 with no problem. Make sure you go for registered 24hr delivery and get a tracking number. Job done. Cheers, wurz Quote Link to post
silentshot1 206
As above, Parcel Force have always been fine with 24 hr registered delivery. about £25.00 each way, I think. Quote Link to post

I'm thinking of spliting into two boxes and posting insured and tracked. Looks like Parcelforce via Royal Mail is the way to, had a chat with our local post office this aft Quote Link to post
