Achange From Airgun Shooting

Me and one of my mates went to the shooting range to day but not to shoot airguns but shotguns and iv now got the bug and im putting in for my sgc but this will not take me away from airgun shooting as thats my first love and its a lot cheeper here is a few photos of the day the lad in the last photos is kenny my mate (tx turnbull) i had i good day hitting a few clays and missing a few they say a change is as good as a rest atvbmac

Very nice, I havn't ever fired a shotty or anything else apart from air, but I get the feeling I'd love it,

 

I love all shooting and if I had the perms would definately like to own different tools of the trade......

Hi Mac.

 

Great thread mate and pics too. You'll not regret getting you SGC as long as you're cool with the police coming to check your home security (every 5 years here). You'll soon learn cadence and swing-through better, it just takes a bit of getting used to shooting on a moving target, using a moving swing to fire and keep on the swing as a follow through.

 

You'll really enjoy using it on flighting pigeons mate.

Its a hole diffrent way of shooting i kepped pausing when i was swinging the gun and then fireing but as soon as i got the hang of it i started hitting them and then the buzz came and now im hooked cant wait to have another go atvbmac

Getting your shotgun certificate is great as it enables you to do variety of types shooting as well as airgunning. Very useful in the winter months when theres not much about through the day, as you can bolt rabbits to the gun with ferrets or go pigeon decoying ect. Spanish shotguns can be baught very cheap as a starter. shotguns have there place tho, as a single bang can clear my permissions of rabbits in the summer for ages where as an airgun can pick several off silently.

Great Fun Shottie Blasting, Flighting Pigeons and Corvids is My Favourite but i do partake in a little bit of water fowling as well for

Mr Ducky Poo's but hate the taste of Goose as it's Rank so leave the Geese to my shottie shooting buddys.

Good Practice for getting on ain quicker with the Air Rifle as well.
