Recommended Posts

Hi everyone just wondering if anyone has purchased the duffus type traps of fourteen acre or foxtrap and wondered what they are like. Im looking for some new traps had a few of my traps pinched last time i was catchin a few moles for a favour i was gutted when i realised someone had

pinched my traplines . I just fancied investing in some duffus traps and fingers crossed loose no more to thieves. Any opinions be greatly appreciated . Wingnut

Fourteenacre are a good supplier, with an outstanding reputation for selling good quality gear with very good customer service.

I would avoid unknown suppliers of moletraps as they are more likely to sell cheap and nasty far-eastern manufactured traps like Proctor Pest Stop, The Big Cheese and Primrose (to name just three).

Also avoid the 'crap-man' at all costs.

You should expect to pay £4.50+ for small quantities of Duffus type traps. Any cheaper than that and ask yourself why.

Magnum Trap company also sell the Fenn scissor traps and the 'Talpa' which is a good quality copy of the Talpex.

Dont buy the 'Talpa' trap from the Magnum Trap company as mine have rusted whereas the genuine Talpex traps from www.ratbait.co.uk I bought at the same time are as good as knew. I am doing a job at the moment and its 11 moles from 11 Talpex traps sprung.

The way I see it you go to all that effort to find mole work, petrol to get to a job, find the runs and bed the traps etc - why not give yourself the very best chance of catching the moles by buy getting the best traps. Buying cheap traps is just a false economy and does not impress the customer either when your traps get sprung but with no mole in them.

atb,

Dave.
