mrmick 7
mine don't seem to mind a bath, i use a small plastic washing bowl, tepid water and one of those ferret shampoos you can buy. The only time i've done it is on the odd out breakout of fleas and once when they got ticks, i find its generally easier to find things like this when they are wet and you can quickly deal with it. If the're just muddy i let them sort themselves out. Quote Link to post

I wasn't being funny and I have seen people do it who keep them in the house but then again I have seen kids who dress them up as well. Quote Link to post

Halfinch 51
go and buy a book on keeping ferrets Like we had to before the internet was Available. Or do the modern version of what we did, Join a forum and ask for advice. Oh, you have. Answer to the OP's question though, Ferrets rarely need "washing", I think Bathing might be a better word, I just keep getting this picture in my mind of a couple of ferrets spinning around in a washing machine. They are similar to cats, they will groom themselves, just make sure you keep their cages clean. mushroom 12,883
Drop the fecker in a bucket of warm water (obviously make sure it is able to get out) stand back let the wee fecker climb out and shake off put back in hutch with pleanty of straw or shavings and let it dry itself off by rolling about no more than that is necessary 1 Quote Link to post
Bunny Boiler 177
You can also let your other ferret help groom her. Put a spot of olive oil on the back of her neck. This will encourage your original ferret to lick and bond with her. 1 Quote Link to post
