mr scent 665
And yet they still (greyhound men), ask you to get them hares for their dogs. So f**k them as I've always said. If they cant catch a hare on its own ground the way lurchermen do then f**k them riight off. Offering £40 quid a time on the one hand while condemning lurchers and natural hunting on the other, is a pure excercise in obfuscation. 40 pound lol its 100 euro a hare down here Quote Link to post

hillbilly boy 109
Balls to them mate if you have permission I would still run them got nothing to do with them what gives them the right to come onto your permission and net hares you should be kicking off at them not the other way round lol Quote Link to post
jigsaw 11,865
HBB,if i need to defend myself i will but when theres 4-5 of them all armed and im 20-30 miles from home its quiet a different matter.the farmer told me to walk away but he would not help out if I were in trouble, there are other farms then that I can do as I please and he will tell them where to go,but there are not many farmers like that.the danger is your van can be wrecked by the scummy fukkers when your out and about after ''their'' hares, just imagine coming back to a country road/lane and your tyres slashed, windows busted in and no one about so you cant point the finger at anyone, and a long way from home and no way back.THIS IS THE DILEMA Quote Link to post
hillbilly boy 109
Mate really don't envy that situation your in really not good all over a few hares. Don't know what to recommend not sure what I would do if I was in your shoes. It's another level when they come mob handed and armed. Quote Link to post
Maximus Ferret 2,063
At least when clonmel is on you're less likely to meet these feckers. Only advice I can offer is to park outside the farmhouse whenever possible, take reg numbers if possible and see if you can find one of these cheap http://www.trail-camera.co.uk/Trail-Camera.htm to watch your car. It might not stop them wrecking it but it gives you some proof of who did it. Local guards can be like the redneck sheriff in american movies but if you have evidence and complain higher up you might get some action. Quote Link to post
seang 163
There is no point talking them lots of coursing men where I'm from theyve rules for themselves and dif rules for anyone else the carry on some them you'd wonder have they any regard for dog or hare just for there own big egos Quote Link to post
jigsaw 11,865
HBB im just going to run the gauntlet and hope i dont come unstuck, fuk em.ive as much right to walk the land as any man/woman/or child once ive the landowners permission.MF thats a bloody good idea,I do try to park near a house or main road or farmers house, more likely to slow them down from battering yer van.as i said earlier seany, its not a sport to them its a money makeing racket,i know as I pts a lot of their dogs for them, they dont care a shit about the animals involved, just the £signs Quote Link to post
baw 4,360
I'm a spiteful c**t. I'd net the f***ing hares and move them onto farms you do feel safe in. 1 Quote Link to post
