Malt 379
And thats what make this compertion. So great I wasnt keen on france and italy coming in years ago but its coming of age now. The banter is part and parcel of it and spending a lot of time in the west of england it makes for liverly coversation , had the pleaure to spend a bit of time with afew of the welsh sqaud. Craking lads but some hangover the next day pints of a certain german cough mixture down in one lol lol. This comp is still there for the taking CDIFF wont be a walk over.Fook me I knew you were getting on a bit but France joined the other 4 nations to make the (old) 5 nations in 1910. They got booted out and readmitted at some point, didn't they? Something to do with payments to players and the amatuer status of the game, as it was back then.. I've got a book about the 4 nations championship here somewhere, it was my granddads, think its from the 70's.. They were booted out, but that was pre WW2!

Swampy 147
First of all well done to England on a game that was played tight and where handling errors and penalties was always going to be the deciding factor ... BUT if England play a closed defensive game like that against either France or Wales they are going to lose ... France and Wales both enjoy a free flowing game testing and probing defence of a spur of the moment break .... England came close to scoring once only today and that will never put points on the board against a free flowing team ... France next for the English they will be thoroughly dejected at to losses in a row and will be hungry for a win .... If the French coach has the minerals to chop the squad and change at least 5 of the team then it will be a match worth watching ... Lots of questions to be answered by the English coaching team in the backs ... Very lack lustre with no flair ...... great point about saint andre (spelling). it's over due for the french to play a great game. after this weekend the coach will have to a pick a different side. when he does they will take some beating. I think that you are paying Ireland a great insult. Ireland were not the best in attack (slow ball) and made too many silly errors but their defence was truely great. West Englanders surely must know this after their debacle. England played a solid game against a gritty no nonense defense. I am glad that England come under such scrutiny in victory. After the last three matches I'm not going to put my cock on a block as to the next lot of games but No one can deny that so far England have played by far the best rugby and are deserved leaders.........At the moment Rgds Swampy uncertain ning
