Malt 379
Sam warbuton left out of the squad ......... must be that injury surley.......... http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2013/feb/12/sam-warburton-wales-italy-six-nations I'm not surprised lads.. He ain't been the same player for Wales since he got sent off at the World Cup, whether it's psychological due to what happened after or not, who knows? That sort of thing is bound to leave a mark on a young player who has had so much responsibility put on his shoulders, so maybe he's been subconsciously playing within himself for Wales ever since.. Warburton hasn't been the same player since the World Cup Mal your right but I'd say its more to do with Lydiate not playing, they operated well together and Warburton could snipe and turn over ball, without Lydiate playing I think Warburton hasn't got the confidence to play his usual style.

Tiercel 6,986
Parisse banned for 30 days pending an appeal. but it does mean if he appeals or not he will miss the Welsh game in Rome. Italy have brought in 33 year old Mauro Bergamasco in parisse's place. TC

Tiercel 6,986
This weekends fixtures. Saturday. Italy v Wales 14.30 Ko England v France 17.00 Ko Sunday Scotland v Ireland 14.00 Ko Your predictions for the weekend please. Mine are Wales, England and Scotland. But who knows? It really is that tight, Wales could well lose in Italy and who knows what French team is going to turn up. I think Scotland are begining to get their game together and could well beat the Irish at home? TC

Malt 379
Tough call, England are playing well but I don't think I've ever seen the 'bad' French team turn up three games in a row.. We defended like devils in Paris and that went some way to making France look ordinary IMO.. The same French team had some pretty good results over the autumn too, so on the balance of things I'm going for a tough match with a slender win and I'd pick France to shade it.. Could go either way though.. Scotland vs Ireland will be an interesting match.. Scotland look dangerous as f**k going forward, but not all that great in defence.. Think I'd have to pick Ireland for the win though.. Italy will be a tough match, we should have enough to beat them but I'm taking nothing for granted..

Malt 379
FFS, so I'm not allowed to want my own team to win and I'm not allowed to make an observation about the French team based on over 20 years of following the five/six nations tournament and northern hemisphere in general because it involves England and it makes me biased? I only said I think France will shade it, but in truth I'm not-so-secretly hoping the good French turn up and give you lot a lesson in attacking rugby!
johnny boy68 11,726
Got to be honest I'm really looking forward to the England v France game, think England will win whatever way its played though, they look strong and they're fit and fitness is key in the 6 nations. I think the Irish will shade it at Murrayfield. Wales will have it tough especially now Italy play at the Olympic Stadium, the atmosphere they had against France was awesome and lifted them but I think Wales will be better by a score or two. Good luck all the teams. CYMRU AM BYTH !!!!
