DeerhoundLurcherMan 997
What I will add mate is, if you get a pup with a good dose of deerhound blood, don't expect it to be doing its job well till 2 year old.......... Probably be good for a few bunnys at 12-18 months. ATB Quote Link to post
bird 9,916
cheers lads, will be a few weeks before i can get a pup, just putting the feelers out there. idealy would lyk something simular to this. 3/4 deerhound 1/4 greyhound x half cross bull greyhound. might be pushed finding a pup bred this way but anyones thoughts/info much apreiciated. Why would you want that sort of breeding in a runner?,what one side of the breeding gives, the other side counteracts. Was thinking along the same lines. If you've got a deerhound x you don't need bull in it. And yes I've got a deerhound x and seen plenty of bull x's, which frankly I wouldn't give kennel space to. Deerhound x will do everything, and much more, than a bull x imo i used to think that regrads straight deerhoundx greyx s , as its a big strong dog with good wind, good feet+ coat, and qute biddable type dog. But i have heard that fair few of this x didnt like to mix it with old charlie pre ban, i suppose as they say if they dont like getting bite size of the dog dont come into it Dan as said the same regards some of the stags he as seen big 90lb dogs that didnt like the teeth job, mind you 35lb yote hell of a differnce to a little 18 fox .lol So by putting a well bred bit of bull in the mix , prob put bit more fire in the belly of a straight deerhound x grey and i think most who worked this x dxh x bxg from what ive read+ heard are more than happy with them Quote Link to post
