francolin 449
The canary with the fringe is a gloster corona the plain headed ones are called gloster consorts and you should only cross the two and not two coronas or two consorts together so i've been told by some canary folk, the slightly orange one could just have been colour fed hence it's orangey appearance. The mule is a goldie mule, red face and black line down the beak helps in recognizing this and are is it just the way it was in the pics that make the toes on it look funny?.Nice birds though Gnasher and all in good heathly condition so you should produce some young un's out of them this year, good luck . to keep shape/size of cap right, and feather quality i think you are spot on ,always pair corona to consort, that said i have bred plain heads to plain, when i was short on birds with caps, but i only breed for fun,all my birds are rejects .
