pinguu 169 Posted January 25, 2013 Report Share Posted January 25, 2013 It's likely to be very sore for a while, hence him keeping weight of it... If its just the nail I'd bathe it and keep it clean maybe even spray with anti bac spray. It should heal with time. Quote Link to post
bunnybuster 1 Posted January 25, 2013 Report Share Posted January 25, 2013 my staff did this to her due claw while bushing out once, i just let it grow out and now keep on top of them triming them when needed, i mentioned it to the vet when get the pups injections and she said there isnt much else i could of done or theyd do unless it got infected that is. atb aaron Quote Link to post

Carraghs Gem 1,675 Posted January 25, 2013 Report Share Posted January 25, 2013 Ive had nails ripped off, nails half cut through due to standing on glass etc Nothing to do until it heals up, vet will just jab them with antibiotics and charge you 30quid and tell you to keep the foot clean and wash it with saltwater and charge you a small fortune for the pleasure Quote Link to post

Crop the nail back past the split , treat the end with a caustic stick . Super glue the end . Keep him on lead until soreness has gone . Then run the shit out of him ha ha ! 1 Quote Link to post
