colliebird 1
PLEASE CROSSPOST Attention! Have just had a text message from a lady, it appears that 2 men in a white R reg transit tried to snatch a gundog from the lady handler as she put it back in her car in Stansted Abbotts near Ware today. Fortunately the dog bit one of the men as he tried to take it and he let go. The lady drove to the Police station and the van which had been following her then drove off. Three gun dogs have been stolen in Hertfordshire this week. It seems the thieves are organised opportunists and know what to look for, please take care out on your own, if out training keep to well lit and populated areas and do not leave your dogs alone if out on a walk or shoot this week (including unlocked cars). Please share this message to all your dog owning friends in Hertfordshire. My tips Carry a mobile with you on walks Keep your dog on a lead if your unsure of the people around you walk in groups if possible avoid dark and quite places on your own park your vehicle in a safe place and try not to leave your dogs in the vehicle especially on a a shoot Don't leave your dog out in the garden for long periods of time alone Keep an eye out for an R REG WHITE TRANSIT Thank you Adem. Millet 4,497
FFS something should be done about this..if she had gotten the full registration number this may of been nipped in the bud..
porkycrook 466
Even if she had got the complete registration number it would more than likely to belong to some pikies and the police would of done nothing. I am so glad to hear that the lady was safe and sound if a little shaken. Edited January 25, 2013 by porkycrook
