Feed him meat on the bone,lamb breasts,chicken carcases,lamb necks,rabbit ,venison carcases etc.that way he will have to work for his grub only gettinn small mouthfulls each time.dogs can pick up this habit from pups if competing for food

i would have thought feeding bones will only make the matter worse.

I don't think it would because he'd have to chew his grub up and pick and chew the meat from the bone.

are you putting some kind of kibble in with the meat i had a dog years ago the same as yours he would bolt down meat without barely chewing it i found kibble slowed him down and completely dry food cured it in the end.dry food is not ideal but better than pts surely.biscuit meal preferably big biscuit your forcing the dog to chew it up where meat my dog thought he could drink it lol.hope you can solve the problem anyway i know how it is
