and if you look on hes web site he dont advertise them as working hunting dogs

 

just about says it all

 

weve all herd the conditions of hes kennels

 

the thing is wether hes dogs are good or bad

 

why would you want to put money in this fellas pocket

 

when theres so much better out there

Why are alot of Hancock bred dogs merles? I know theyve got collie in them but they are not that common in other collie crosses.

when i went there it was clean i think you have to see for self .the thing i dis like is there not work but i seen my mates

work and his dog had plenty of working instinct

i asked for a blue merle and had to order one a month before she was born , the reason a lot of hancock bred lurchers are merle might be down to him using blue/red merle collie stud dogs i would also like to add that when i went to hancocks kennells the dogs were not living in shit .

I wouldnt bother arguing with some people on here it doesnt matter what cross of dog you have they will always slate it but they never say what their own dogs are or what theyve done

Gale Force , i could'nt agree more , i personally have got into some right debates over hancock's lurchers , but at the end of the day i respect my dogs so feel the need to say my piece , as for the narrow minded people who wish to slag off any particular breed of dog well what can i say other than GET A LIFE and have a nice day :clapping:

What gets me are those who slag a breed off and theyve never seen them work before. Alot of people on these hunting sites will post what theyve caught and pics and yet those who dont do either of them things will slate them

I find on all these hunting sites that its mostly Hancock, Plummer, Minshaw dogs that get slated but each one of them owners are pleased with their own type of dog, have worked them and are happy with them so what right has anyone else got slating them. I think in most cases its jealously.

i have seen and worked hancock dogs in fact here is my statment from the c--t,dated the 30-7-88

one 3/4 cross smooth coated brindle collie marked dog pup,

out of a greyhound called spottie the pup is sired by taffy,taffy is 1/4 beardie 1/4 borber 1/2 greyhound

the question about merles, its down to him using merle dogs in the mating, as with mine. the sire, kubla khan was a 1/2 cross merle and dam was track greyhound.

 

i am very pleased with my dog's progress and these supposedly discusting conditions with dogs living in there own shit and piss etc was not evident when i went down there on the two occastions, and as others have said you get bad and good in all breeds, but i belive that to many people that dont experiance the dogs for them selves jump on the bandwagon and slate certain breeds no matter of breed or breeder. its what you put in your dog that really matters.

because i had traveled all that way,i was young,and i didnt want to leave it there,if you lot are happy with your hancocks fair play i wish you all the best,but dont say that he is anything other then a puppy peddler,
