Guest oldskool
hancocks threads are common on these hunting sites... as far as i can tell when it comes to the hancock dogs themselves there is always more good posts about the dogs than bad... Quote Link to post
Guest DALE_2
im sure if you scroll not to far back through pages on the running dogs part of the forum you will find a post about hancock dogs , there was a long - on going post about them not so long back , quite a few pages in in fact , as far as i can tell even though ive never owned one myself , there like marmite ( you either love them or hate them ) , some people think hes a peddler , some people think there the dogs bollocks , either way its just horses for courses ... Phil Lloyd 10,738
For what your after money well spent i would say.....You would be better of with one of mine at least they aint living in shit Paul73,.if you've a mind to hunt the rabbits,..I would seriously consider one of Royston's pups..... These types have been bred for the kind of work you would be doing.... I only hunt conies myself, and they would be ideal for me,..so perhaps give the guy a bell,.have a quiet chat.... Why take a risk,...?...'Up yer odds' mate.... Quote Link to post
bill88 6
A dog's what you make it.No guarantee's with any line's imo. Edited July 13, 2007 by bill88 Quote Link to post
Sorley x 32
No breeder of any stock, be pedigree Angus cattle or Silkies has ever bred brilliant stock all of the time. There will always be variation, accept it. With Hancock's dogs you know what to expect. But if you can get a pup from a working line then it increases your chances of getting a goodun. all the best Quote Link to post
