Not many farmers use Landy's now, for the reasons above & the ones that do get 'em for next to nowt to show face & advertise...with crap heaters, turning circle of an oil tanker,economy of a tank, rattle & shakes, draughts, water & leaks every where....i tried 4 over the years ,defender & a disco that rotted worse than a thai ho.. Narrrrrr stick to a jap 4x4, ya cannot go wrong.

Had A TD5 leaked like mad and the onboard puter thing kept giving up , go a isuzu bighorn 3.1 diesel now and in my personal opinion it is a much better truck not as refined but as good on fuel if not better and more reliable

Whats the fuel comparison between a disco and hi lux.

On A roads and motorways, my D2 TD5 costs around £20 of fuel for 100 miles, haven't worked it out any further than that.

 

That will also hopefully explain why I won't be doing so many shows!!!

In my opinion you are better off with a LPG V8i, more power and same if not better fuel economy, the TD5 is a good engine but it is slightly underpowered, it needed a 300tdi really. But I wasn't there to make said decisions, and neither am I to make yours, (and also the v8 sounds better :-) )
