Cleanspade 3,322
ive got the 70-300. and fancy changing to the 18 - 270. as it would save me swapping lenses as i use the 18-55. and the bigger lense . so it would mean i could do most of my pics with a single lens. cheers
brassneck 128
i also use a tamron 70-300mm , had some excellent results , AF slighty noisey but at the cost cant fault it .

eddiej35 10
I am using the 28-270 and have had some great pictures with it, not so good without a tripod in low light but i am no expert and we cant have everything for the price they are .
cubz 73
Iv got the 70-300 but wouldn't mind one of these ho pw much are they?
Cleanspade 3,322
i think they come in at around 350. the ultrsonic motor makes them quieter and faster . so they do sound better on paper
Kay 3,709
have got the 70 300 .. but in comparison with the canon 55 250 .. its like waiting for paint to dry . i dont use the tamron lens it drives me mad its so slow
FUJI 17,304
One on flea bay for £289 buy it now..seem to have good reviews what I've read anyway
PINNACLE 2,297
I used to have the older version non PDZ one but sold it. It was good but very slow to auto focus. A very good all round lens though for image quality. The newer version is a lot smaller and the image quality is still supposed to be reasonably good, but it is still slow to auto focus. It's a bit of a jack of all trades lens and at £370 new it is not cheap compared to the 55-250 at £175 and the 70-300 at £350 on Amazon. That is if you are using Canon I don't think I would buy another one.

J Darcy 5,871
Sometimes it's better to put your money into something a bit 'faster', even if it is second hand. theres one reason why those len's with the long zoom range aren't popular and thats that they are generally pap. Unless you live somewhere that the sun shines alot!

Unless you live somewhere that the sun shines alot! the one thing all these lenses have in common. is they are all fairly cheep. i'm looking for a faster lens but hav'nt got a lot of spare cash. any thoughts on a good lens that would be suitable for my little nikon D3000. and at a reasonable price
