Multi Multi Multi X Lurchers

Recommended Posts

Ok when you look online beyond the classic lurcher x's you often come across something like

saluki collie bull grey x beddy whippet collie bull saluki grey.

or the best i have seen is beddy whippet x beagle whippet russell.

is it just me that thinks this is just careless breeding for a quick buck or do people genuinely consider crossing dogs so many ways to produce results.... i am slightly ignorent to this as i prefer either whippet collie or saluki grey or bull grey etc etc....

I think if someone had a saluki/collie/grey x bull/whippet and it was working really well and his mate had a deer/beddy/grey x wheaten/grey which was doing equally well then there would be no reason not to breed lurcher x lurcher.

But there would be 8 breeds in that mix.

As most are saying, if your breeding best to best you will at times get 4 or more breeds going into the Pups, some lads never go back to a full greyhound but at times imo I think you have to but that's me..atb

You dont ever have to breed back to a full greyhound, saluki, deerhound, etc.

I think when you put so many crosses in a dog the pups are to unpredictable they seem to throw back to a type like a collie bull Wheaton greyhound x saluki beddy greyhound you get pups that look and act like a saluki or a beddy or whatever else just my opinion before I get people jump down my throat
