Elliott 436
Have a guess Paul .17HMR and .22LR I'm really torn between the two and can only afford one. I need some pros and cons.. Quote Link to post
The one 8,477
each have there good and bad points talk it over with you F.A.O Quote Link to post
paulus 26
each have there good and bad points talk it over with you F.A.O they will lean towards the HMR due to decreased risk of ricochets, it all depends on what shooting you will be doing the most, mostly lamping the 22 with subsonics ect. Aye they shoot flatter and a longer distance than the .22 but the .22 a fair lamping tool as the ammo's a fair bit cheaper Quote Link to post

Elliott 436
That says a lot Paul. I dont do much lamping at all to be honest. I find the long range accuracy of the .17 appealing but the ruggedness of a semi auto appealing too Quote Link to post

The one 8,477
I prefer a bolt action rimmy but i can see where a .17 might help for lamp shy rabbits with the extra range other than that im no too sure there many benifits over a good .22 with a silencer Quote Link to post
