let alone get the chance to take one with an air rifle,certainly a first for me and prob never likely to happen again in my life time,chance spotting of a woodcock whilst stalking outer tree line of the woods sitting about 30yards in, nice shot from standing position then onto a cock pheasant further up the tree line sitting near some cover.

very very difficult in these conditions with the sound of snow breaking under foot but worth while if you take your time,nice meal for the sake couple hours out thanks

its just an old gammo shadow .22 swaped it for a spare lamp just to get me out doing a bit,what i lack in equipment i make up for in fieldcraft must admit getting the bug back after long time off from air rifle shooting.

iv been reading the thread about recommending first pcp seems i may be spending some money in the near future just not very tech minded unfortunately but have to say i would definately want a light weapon if anyone wants to put me in the know i would appreciate it.

did go on with an old smk but far to heavy for the miles i cover started to remind me of the GPMG days

Great shooting. I've just returned back to the sport after a long lay off and pleased that I managed to get one of my permissions back and also a new ratting one.
